October 2010 - John Piret gives a seminar at the Park Plaza Hotel in Boston MA to the Directeurs de Marché Entreprises du Crédit Agricole [Directors of Corporate Clients services] on the topic “Les métiers de Capital Investissement et de Banque d’Affaires aux USA" [“The Capital Investment and Investment Banking professions in the US”].

June 2010 – John Piret and Eliot Norman [Williams Mullen, Washington DC] spoke about “USA Energy Market Opportunities” at the Umwelt International 2010 conference in Augsburg Germany.

June 2010 – John Piret; James B. Godwin III - Vice President Cyber Security & Systems Integration, Northrop Grumman; Eliot Norman - Partner, Williams and Mullen; Thomas O. Mason - Partner, Williams and Mullen; and Jan Mul – Director International Marketing Fairfax County EDA jointly conducted a seminar about opportunities in the US in the “IT and (Cyber) security” industry, hosted by the EACC-France and taking place at the offices of the Cabinet Wragge [Paris France].

June 2010 – John Piret spoke at a seminar hosted by the French American Chamber of Commerce Washington DC Chapter on the topic of “Mergers and Acquisitions: A Growth Strategy for International Companies in 2010” which took place at the Williams Mullen offices in McLean VA. Speakers included John Piret, Eliot Norman, International Practice, Williams Mullen; Gregory R. Bishop, M&A Practice, Williams Mullen; and Philippe de Dreuzy, Vice-President, Rutherfoord International.

May 2010 - John Piret and Steve Eichel [Choate Hall & Stewart LLP] gave a workshop on entering the US market entitled “Traverser l'Atlantique: Considérations Stratégiques, Financières, Juridiques et Fiscales“ at the ADIRA (Agence de Développement de la Région Alsace, Strasbourg France) as well as to clients of and in cooperation with the following French law firms:

April 2010 - John Piret served on the venture selection committee for the New Technology Venture Accelerator program (NETVA) at the Ministère des Affaires Etrangères [Paris France]. “The NETVA program is an initiative of the Consulates General of France in Boston and San Francisco and the Embassy of France in Washington to support French innovative startups in their search for opportunities in the United States and to help them understand the regulations and market of American technologies.” [from the NETVA website].

January 2010 - John Piret is interviewed by France Tech Insight about the role of investment bankers in the financing of technology companies in the US; France Tech Insight is the monthly Science & Technology newsletter created by the Office of Science and Technology (OST) of the French Consulate in Boston MA.
